Saltire Foundation Canada Selects Wellspring as Host Organization for 2026 Saltire Scholar Internship
Saltire Foundation Canada is pleased to announce that Wellspring Cancer Support Foundation has been selected as a partner host organization for the upcoming 2026 Saltire Scholar Internship Programme – our inaugural partnership with a Canadian charity.
Wellspring is a national Canadian charity that provides evidence-based supportive care programs free-of-charge to people living with cancer and their families. With a 30-year history of innovation and community leadership, Wellspring represents the kind of entrepreneurial, impact-driven organization that the Saltire Scholar program aims to support.
The selected Saltire Scholar will complete a fully funded 10-week internship focused on a national analysis of Wellspring’s group-based cancer support programs. This project will offer the Scholar a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to Canadian healthcare through:
Program evaluation and benchmarking
Qualitative and quantitative research
Review of national supportive-care standards
Recommendations for innovation and future growth
Saltire Foundation Canada will provide a dedicated account manager, cover all intern costs, and ensure the Scholar receives comprehensive support throughout the placement.
